What is "Netiquette"?

Simply stated, netiquette is an evolving "code of conduct" for communication via internet including: sending email messages, chat rooms, instant messaging (IM'ing), discussion boards, blogs, wikis and any online community.

Netiquette Tips
Before hitting "Send" or "Publish"... ask yourself these questions:

  • How would I feel if I received this email message?
  • How would I feel if this were printed in the newspaper?
  • Would I say this to the person's face?
  • Is this information okay to share with a stranger?
