The Lander Valley Education Foundation is a privately funded, Wyoming non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing teaching and learning opportunities for Fremont County School District #1 students. The Foundation funds innovative and enriching programs and projects that encourage our students to reach their highest potential.

Innovative Teaching Grants Awarded to three Elementary teachers! District educators were invited to apply for three mini-grants to help fund innovative programs in their classes. The grant recipients were Jeanne Konicek-West Elementary kindergarten, Scott Hemingway-North Elementary first grade, and Lindy Hemingway-West Elementary first grade. Students in these classes will be experiencing hands on science through the use of Science Trunks furnished by the Lander Children's Museum. Students will also go to the museum four times during the 2010-2011 school year! Congratulations and thanks to these teachers for applying for our grants! A new round of grant application has begun! Grants will be awarded in October, 2010! .
The Lander Valley Education Foundation received a generous grant from First Interstate Bank and First Interstate Bank Foundation! These funds will go towards supporting the new programs at West and North Elementary! Mr. Doug Anesi presented the grant funds at First Interstate Bank, Lander, in August, 2010. |
